My name is Russell McBurnie, but I am seen online mostly as Russell Mav Photography. A quick fun fact about the name RussellMav Photography - the “Mav” is short for my middle name, which is Maverick. When I was adopted in grade school, I was able to choose any middle name I wanted - so Maverick feels like a special part of my identity.
I have been doing wildlife photography for over four years now, but my interest and passion in wildlife, and nature in general, goes back much further than the time I have spent with high-level photography equipment. Although you may see me online working with different sponsors or caving to online trends, always know that my true passion lives in being out and observing the wildlife.
